Germany 1945 Dachau-Allach Polish DP Camp 25pf Stamp-B 25pf. blue stamp on greyish paper with economy gum. Stamp depicts an American flag and a Polish eagle with the legend POLISH POLITICAL PRISONERS OUT OF GRATITUDE. Stereo # DA3. Mint never hinged. Allach was a sub-camp near Munich, located approximately 10 miles from the main Nazi concentration camp at Dachau. Dachau-Allach was liberated by the Americans on May 1, 1945 and later used as a camp for displaced persons. Poles interned in Dachau-Allach organized a postal service in August, 1945.BB2846
