| TIBET,INDIA 1924 BRITISH MT.EVEREST EXPEDITION POSTCARD TO GB publicity POST CARD. The front carries the Mount EVEREST STAMP Cancelled with a complete 38mm dia. Double Circle CDS of THE RONGBUK GLACIER BASE CAMP, also a 1.5 Annas Indian Stamp Cancelled with a Calcutta 22mm.Dia. CDS dated 19 Oct 1924 and BRITISH EMPIRE 'LION' EXHIBITION POSTMARK 1924. The reverse gives details of the expedition, a picture of the mountain from Rougbuk Valley, and J B L Noel's Captains message and signature. The card is in pristine condition and difficult to come by in such condition. The Expedition was also known as The Younghusband Expedtion, named after Sir Francis Younghusband President of the Royal Geographical Society YY9977
